CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Pritt called the meeting to order at 5:45 pm.
PRIOR MEETING MINUTES
The Secretary previously emailed the minutes from the September 15, 2025 Planning Commission meeting. The motion to approve the minutes was made by Vice Chairman Martin and seconded by Chairman Pritt. All in favor, Ayes: 3, motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The West Finley Township discussed the edits and changes made to the proposed Zoning Ordinance. Restrictions were added to the Industrial Zoning section of the Ordinance regarding large scale energy facilities and data centers. Due to the number of changes and formatting issues, the Secretary created a clean copy of the document. This copy was presented to the Board. The Township is still waiting on a response from John Trant from Strategic Solutions. The Planning Commission will implement a time limit of a week to receive any comments from Mr. Trant. At that time, the clean copy, including the additions, will be referred to the Washington County Planning Commission for review. Commission Member Yankovich made the motion to adhere to the week timeline and then submit the plan to the Washington County Planning Commission. Chairman Pritt seconded the motion. All in favor, Ayes: 3, motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Claire Hagan asked for copies of the proposed Zoning Ordinance. A physical paper copy and PDF version are available to the public.
Henrietta O’Brien asked about advertisement requirements related to the Zoning Ordinance.
Tracey Smith suggested that the proposed Zoning map be altered to exclude the one small portion of Industrial zone on Majorsville Road. Her suggestion was to revert that section back to Residential/Agricultural Zone to match the surrounding area.
Several residents asked for copies of the proposed Zoning Ordinance. The Secretary will prepare and send the copies to these citizens.
ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING
Chairman Pritt adjourned the meeting at 5:55 pm.
