PennDOT Traffic Counting

Please be advised that PennDOT will be contracting with Tri-State Traffic Data to collect traffic counts on municipally owned roads within our townhsip. The traffic counting will occur on Walnut Valley Road between March and November 2024. This data will be used to make decisons on safety, design, and operation of roadways which is used for apportioning Federal-aid highway funds. A total of 786 local road counts is scheduled to be collected through District 12 which includes Fayette, Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland counties.
